Seachrán are a young Cork city-based theatre collective sharing their first original work, ‘The Deeds of Lord Barnard’ by Iarla O’Neill.
The comedy, set in rural Ireland during The Great Hunger, has three farmers Seán Dubh, Seán Dearg and Seán Bán try to appease the pre-christian Gods in order to survive the hunger. There is one final hurdle – Lord Barnard.
Promising to amuse and provoke, the short play includes a rich array of dialogue, physical theatre and song inspired by the Irish ballad tradition and Georgian polyphonic harmonies.Performed by Rose Creagh, Iarla O’Neill and Muiris Wallace.
