This year we initiate an exciting project in association with Skibbereen Tidy Towns, Skibbereen Historical Society and Skibbereen Heritage Centre.
There are over 20 lanes and alleyways in our town, many dating back to pre-famine times. Over the next five years we will work with local artists, historians and community groups to research and depict the history of these ancient lanes, and create a sustainable living history of our town that will remain visible for generations to come.
Come along during the festival to Coppinger’s Lane on Townshend Street to see the first mural take shape.
