To close Skibbereen FeelGood Festival 2021, Susan O’ Regan will lead a 2.5 hour Forest Bathing workshop in the magical setting of Liss Ard gardens.

Mindfulness meditation is well known for calming and soothing the mind using breathing techniques, as well as enhancing bodily awareness and connecting to the present moment through our senses.

Forest Bathing is a simple, yet powerful, nature experience which originated in Japan in the 1980’s as a wellbeing technique for managing stress and other health related issues. It is, in essence, mindfulness in nature, which involves slowing down and opening up our senses to the natural environment. Focusing on what we can naturally hear, smell, touch, taste and see has an extremely calming and soothing effect on the body and the mind.

The stunning outdoor setting at Liss Ard Gardens is the ideal location for this mindfulness and forest bathing workshop. Using a combination of mindfulness and forest bathing techniques, participants will be guided through some gentle practices to enhance wellbeing, to re-connect with ourselves, others and with nature.

Join us for this unique and nourishing practice.
