4 Plays in a Day

Generously sponsored by Field's of Skibbereen

Theatre in the Fields is a family-friendly Theatre Festival based at Brook Cottage Farm in the fields of Furneux Pelham in Hertfordshire. It consists of a full day of theatre in all shapes and sizes! A magical day out, chock-a-block full of amazing shows, food, yoga, creative activities, weird and wonderful performances and general festival cheer, deep in the Hertfordshire countryside.

Skibbereen Arts Festival is delighted to present a condensed version of this amazing festival on Saturday 27th July at Skibbereen Town Hall.

4 plays covering a range of topics, and featuring some of the best young talent from the London theatre scene, this will be a very special day for all theatre lovers.

Beginning at midday with breaks for lunch and refreshments, tickets are available for individual shows but we encourage you to make a day of it and come and see all 4!

12pm: Doreen's No Brainer Lectures

Doreen's No Brainer Lectures is a one woman show 'teaching you everything that you need to know in one minute'. Doreen has 80,000 followers online and over 25 million video views. Her show premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe last year to great success.

2pm: From Stockton to Saigon

From Stockton to Saigon is a one-man show, featuring Ryan O'Gorman. Ryan has performed in some of the west-end's best loved shows including Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and Rent. He recently finished the tour of Miss Saigon playing John, performing the famous number Bui Doi. This show tells of a proper 'borough lad from Stockton-on-Tees who managed to graft his way to becoming a west-end leading man!

4pm: The Roundheads

The Roundheads is a restoration comedy written by Aphra Behn. Behn is the first English woman to identify herself as a professional writer, and had a very colourful life and was also a spy. We recently produced it for Mosely Old Hall in the West Midlands. It's a seven-hander, full of secret affairs between enemies, the usurpation of a king and mistaken identities.
Running time 1 hr 15min

6pm: Stageys in the Stixx

Artists from the London's west-end perform an array of musical theatre in a 'talk-show-esqe' cabaret!
